Presentation of Colombian cocoa at the 5th “Cacao de Oro” competition
Launched by Swisscontact and financed by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), the “Cacao de Oro” competition is continuing even beyond the end of the project. The competition is supported by various public and private institutions working to promote cocoa production in Colombia.
The winner receives an invitation to Paris in November to attend the international “Salon du Chocolat”, the world’s most important and prestigious event for chocolate. This year the “Golden Cocoa” medal was awarded to the Agroguamal Association from Meta. Asoesperanza from Tumaco won the silver medal, while bronze went to IntegraSinú from Córdoba. Both associations also won further technical training as a prize.
Exceptional chocolate products at the “Casa del Chocolate” fair
Along with the competition, the “Casa del Chocolate” trade fair took place in Bogota, where local cocoa and chocolate production are presented along with the best products in the country.
