Swisscontact and its Radio Partner of Skills for Safe Reconstruction Project – Radio Siddhababa successfully launched ''Surkashit Gharbas '' weekly radio programme in Sindhuli district on 4th January 2018. Surkashit Gharbas radio programme is an effort of Swisscontact to raising awareness in community level about safe reconstruction process through the means of mass media. The programme was organized under the chairmanship of Mr. Shankar Raj Verma; Chairperson of District Coordination Committee, Sindhuli.

The Youth Employment Project and the Partners Janahit Samaj Sewa Nepal, Sahayogi Samaj Nepal and Skill Nepal have signed agreements on 15th December 2017 at Swisscontact Nepal Office in Kathmandu for the execution of Skill Enhancement Training and related activities in the districts of Mahottari, Sarlahi, Morang and Sunsari starting in 2017.

The Youth Employment Project conducted the CPAC meeting on the 24th December 2017 at the Social Welfare Council (SWC) office, Kathmandu. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Dilli Prasad Bhatta, Member Secretary, SWC. The participants included representatives from SWC, different Ministries, National Planning Commission and from other Central Level Government bodies.

The Youth Employment Project conducted six DPAC meetings and monitoring visits from 9 to 15 November in the project districts Dhankuta, Mahottari, Morang, Sarlahi, Sindhuli and Sunsari under the chairmanship of the District Coordination Officers of the respective districts with the participation of government and private sector participants.

Chars Development Research Centre (CDRC), a specialised centre of Rural Development Academy (RDA), Bogra, recently organised launching and stakeholder consultation workshops in Sirajganj and Gaibandha. The workshops were held at the National Development Programme (NDP) Bhaban, Sirajganj and SKS Inn, Gaibandha on 30 October 2017 and 16 November 2017 respectively.
